.AVI is a popular video format. It is also the one of the most SPACE comsuming. MP4 takes up the least space- to my knowledge. IPODS play mp4. .AVI is usually used for dvd players although some do not play that format. And Windows media player does play .avi. Mine does. You probably need the right codec.

If that does not work to play your .avi video then download REALONE player from download.com. Real player plays .avi (i think)

It is a file format for video. If you cannot watch it with your WMP, means you dont have the specific codec to watch it. Go to www.divx.com to download the video codec. Install it then u can watch it at your WMP. However i recommend you google for VLC Media Player. It basically can watch any video formats without the needs to install codec.

its a video format. I use DivX to watch it.
