I just got my license and I can drive half decent on the highway etc. I'm only concerned with MERGING! I cant ever tell if there's room for me to get on.. and if not.. what to do. Onramps scare me!

People on cell phones. You never know if they are aware of their surroundings or what they're going to do. They can't signal a lane change even if they were so inclined.

You actually have to be afraid of the other jerks on the road. The best idea is to try to really get up to traffic speed before trying to merge. Then you can just move over without making people mad. On the highway I try to stay in the slow lane and move over for other cars trying to merge onto the road from on ramps.

Out here in Mexifornia I worry about getting into an accident with an unlicensed and uninsured illegal alien.

The nutcases who speed, get right up to your bumper, and then weave in and out of lanes without using a blinker.

Don't look for the spot when you are going 5 mph. Look when you are going the same speed as traffic...you can slide into ANY space between cars when they are going the same speed.
