Its even lower for other religious sects. Now if that isn't hypocritical, I don't know what is!

Sorry. But I don't believe in what you say. Do you think that 26% of self proclaimed Catholics or other religious sects, even if they didn't believe in God, they would confess so? That would not be hypocritical. It woul be stupid.

I am a lifelong Catholic, and the Catholics I know, grew up with, and worship with very much believe in God. They believe to the depth of their souls. Statistics can be terribly flawed. I've seen so many devout Catholics during my lifetime. They pray, give to the church, help the poor and are fine examples of Christian charity. I know of Catholics who have some doubts about certain aspects of Church dogma (including myself), but that's a far cry from being an outright atheist.

Your statistics are off; anyone going through confirmation in the Catholic Church must profess a faith in God, Christ and the Holy Spirit. So IF they change their mind later, they are aware that they made this statement at the time of their confirmation (not Baptism). Anglican, Episcopal, Lutheran and Methodist churches are the same.
Lower Christian Churches also each have Articles of Faith, and a person must be Baptized and profess to these articles before they can become a member of the church, in nearly all cases.

Some Christian groups believe in "Once saved, always saved", but that is up to God to judge, not us. If a person no longer believes, he probably does not think of him/herself as a Christian.

Didn't know that and still not sure if you do. But what concerns me is why you're looking for silly statics on religions when living for Christ has nothing to do with that at all. Do you actually think we walk around the world wondering how many others love Jesus the same way we do? Christ desires a relationship, an intimate personal relationship between man and him, individually! Stop wasting your time on folly.

Probably the measuring methods are flawed ---- I was raised Catholic, but I'm an atheist.

I'd imagine a lot of other admit the same.

Protestant denominations tend to do much better in their brainwashing.

53% of Catholics who say they believe in God say that 87% of people who say that only 74% of self proclaimed Catholics say they believe in God are 99% full of baloney.

Catholics do not worship saints or statues. I know. I am Catholic.

Where did you get your facts on the 74%?

Well, I guess that 26% of them are Catholic Atheists. Those are the ones who believe in evolution.

The term to look for when determining who believes in God is "Christian". Catholics don't even carry a Bible to Church.
