For example, if I had a 4.14 GPA weighted in 10th and 11th, and I received a 3.8 GPA weighted in the first semester of senior year, will colleges take into account my 3.8 GPA from my first semester senior year? More specifically, I am wondering about whether the UC's will see my first semester grades. I've heard from many people that they look at your senior year grades to order to see if you have been slacking off or not. However, I'm not sure if the UC's will USE my first semester senior year for admissions. I sure don't want to be denied because of one semester.

Yes, they matter. However, I don't think that they would consider a 3.8 gpa as slacking off unless the difficulty level of your courses has also decreased dramatically.

Your overall gpa definitely carries more weight than your gpa from last semester.

as far as i understand, all of it receives averaged into your GPA and all of it receives listed on your transcripts. in protecting with annum! i'd imagine of that that they had paid more advantageous pastime to senior grades if some thing quite than a lot less.

As far as I know, it ALL gets averaged into your GPA and it ALL gets listed on your transcripts. Every year! I would think that they'd paid more attention to senior grades if anything rather than less.
