My friend's dad is going tomorrow a 5. I'd like to write him something nice. I have no clue, i'm not good with stuff like this. I don't care about the religion behind the prayer, or poem, i just want something beautiful to send. thanks

You know the hour of his passing in advance?

The Lubavitcher Rebbe said, "...just as G-d will most certainly rebuild the ruins of Zion and Jerusalem and gather the dispersed of Israel from the ends of the earth through our righteous Moshiach, so will He, without a doubt, remove the grief of the individual, fulfilling the promise embodied by the verse, 'Awaken and sing, you who repose in the dust.' Great will be the joy, the true joy, when all will be rejoined at the time of the Resurrection of the Dead...."

Until that time, one's comfort may come from knowing that your loved one's spirit is always nearby. Carry out the good works your father taught you - that will keep him alive always, no matter what others do or say.

How nice that your want to say something to your friends dad. I am not sure where he is going but if you just write a nice note wishing him well and telling him not to worry about your friend, that you'll help watch over him. That would be nice. Whatever you say from the heart he will appreciate. My you are a good young person.

Lord, you who faced death as a criminal, and were at all points tempted, like as we are, yet without sin, and who were acquainted with grief, please grant my father repentance to the acknowledging of the truth, and that he may recover his soul from out of the snare of the devil. Father, I ask for repentance for him and that he may find forgiveness and I pray for our whole family that we may come to know and serve you and have fellowship with one another and with you on that great day when you call your children to meet you in the air. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
