I was wondering what I should get my girlfriend for valentines day. We're both freshmen in college, and everything is going really well, and we both love each other deeply, but I'm not sure what I should get her.

I wasn't sure since it was our first valentines day if I should get her something like flowers and chocolate, or lingerie, or bath & body stuff. At first I was planning on getting her a diamond heart pendant, or something like that, but I wasn't sure if that would be setting the bar too high for the future, and I should wait to give expensive jewelry.

So if people could give me some idea of what sounds appropriate or give me links to some good gift ideas that would be wonderful. Money isn't too important, but probably under $200 total, unless it's really nice.

Thanks so much!

I think that you should plan a nice romantic night. This is better than an expensive gift in my opinion. You could get her chocolate or flowers also but if you plan something romantic and memorable this would probably mean more to her. I know this is what I and most of my friends would prefer.

Of course in the day time visit her wherever she is and give her flowers & chocolate. Then that night take her out to see a movie and dinner. That sounds sweet doesn't it? It's like two presents in one day. So it's not "too cheap" and not "too expensive".

get her one of those bracelets that have the flat heart on the end of it (if she doesnt already have one cause most girls do) and get ur initials engraved in it. my boyfriend did that for me a couple years ago and just put D&M on it. it was only like $60, but i loved it because it was cute and thoughtful.

good luck.

Read the answer I gave to "raz q" except use it for your gf instead of a boyfriend.
