I don't know what state you live in, but the states in which I have worked as a social worker and professor both have had Vocational Rehabilitation programs run by the state. These are government funded programs that are designed to help people with disabilities join the workforce. As a professor, I have watched students with disabilities such as paralysis, a missing eye, missing fingers, and dyslexia received full tuition and books for their education. They are monitored by a caseworker who helps them plan their courses in conjunction with their advisors (often paying for additional services/tutoring to facilitate learning).
I strongly recommend you look up the Voc Rehab program in your state. It sounds like you are eligible.
By the way, I have worked for private colleges - not community colleges. You can choose your schools rather than have them tell you where to go.
Blessings! I hope this helps.

ALL colleges have to provide accomodations for u.. They must have ur classes on ground level or must have an elevator.. They must provide a ASL interpretor if u use ASL...register with the disabilities office at the school and they will go from there in helping u. www.fastweb.com/scholarships.com have some scholarships for those with disabilities...Dept of Rehab (at DHS) will help with tuition and books... u have to register with them, have an interview, send med. documentation, etc.. It takes about 60 days for all of that JUST to see if u are approved. Community colleges are much cheaper.. u can get all ur basics in there and then transfer. However, they may not have the same dis. accomodations as far as special computers, ASL interpretors, etc. GL

You can take out a loan to pay for college each year you attend. You could take a look at what Sallie Mae loans have to offer. There also could be some grants for you as well. My brother is in computer science and he loves it you should give it a shot!

Just call your state rehabilitation office and they will pay for your college and get you grants that you don't have to pay back so that you can have extra money. Trust me. I know a lot of people that have done it.It's called Vocational Rehab..
