You probably won't die, unless you keep it for a long period of time, but 8 liters seems a bit much. You should have at least 2.2 liters of water (or other fluids like juice) a day to keep your body hydrated and that's if youre not active. It seems as if you might be replacing your meals with water and that is definitely not good. Doctors believe that Terri Schiavo went in to a coma from drinking 10-15 glasses of liquid a day because that upset the balance of electrolytes in her brain.

i guess i dont understand what the point of drinking eight liters of water a day would be? It can be very dangerous to drink this much water. It leads to fluid overload. What essentially happens, is that the water is quickly absorbed into your bloodstream at a rate faster than your kidneys can get rid of it. So your blood pressure rises to try to compensate for the large volume of blood you now have. With the continued intake your body can't the volume of fluid anymore and so the fluid starts leaking out into your surrounding tissue, including your lungs. You could potentially drown in your own fluid. So, I would say, yes you could die from it

!!!!!!!!!WARNING!!!!!!!!!!
Water intoxication is possible to die from, to much water in your body will cause your brain to swell, your lungs will begin filling with water, and your kidneys/liver will shut down. I don't know how much is needed, basically depending on your activity, obviously urination and sweat are the most obvious ways to flush it out of your system.

A person with two healthy kidneys can excrete about 900ml/hr. Consuming as little as 1.8 litres of water in a single sitting may prove fatal for a person adhering to a low-sodium diet, or 3 litres for a person on a normal diet. However, this must be modulated by potential water losses via other routes. For example, a person who is perspiring heavily may lose 1 L/hr of water through perspiration alone, thereby raising the threshold for water intoxication. .

I work outdoors and drink about about a gallon in 5 hrs or so.. During the winter when it's not so hot.. I continue to drink water.. but not as much.. That is a lot of water.. If your working out or doing physical work.. There is a need for more water.. but I'm not sure about the amount you consume.
