I had a similar situation when I went to Palm Springs one weekend. The tip of my nose was dry and peeling, despite the fact that my skin is normal.
I exfoliated my nose (only) with baking soda and put vitamin E oil on the peely areas.
The baking soda removed the dead skin and the vitamin E helped repair the skin.
Vitamin E does not clog the pores. Your nose will look greasy and shiny at first, but the skin eats it up with no consequence.

Exfoliate every other day for a week or so then go to your regular drugstore and buy a little bottle of Vitamin E Oil (capsules if there is no oil)...it is found in the vitamin Aisle.
It is a good oil, it will not clog your pores. The word oil is scary, but it took a call to my dermatologist to convince my BF that E oil will not clog pores.
At night and in the AM put some oil on the dry spots and it is like an eraser. ust do this till it is better...it is a miracle.
Lotions ust fix the problem for an hour, max. Try this...you will use the oil for everything.
The capsules..if you buy them...you have to poke with a toothpick to get the oil out and you only use a bit so save the rest of the capsule for next time in a plastic bag.

your best bet is to work a regular system thru your skin. Use a good exfoliate on your face 2-3 times a week. .If you want, use a good toner with gycolic acid in it. Then apply a good mosituriser.(.if your nose is just the problem, you might want to at night add a dab of Vaseline over your nose.) If you find you face is often flake and dry you could be very dehydrated. Use a good water binding moisturizer..like Vichy. Use a good night cream or something of the sort at night too.

I had the same problem and then a friend put me on using a gentle oil free sunscreen EVERYDAY before makeup and reapply after it wears out. I'm guessing it could be sunburn thats peeling.
Exfoliate, moisturise and use sunscreen and mine healed really quick. And it got rid of any redness I had around my nose from wearing sunnies and not wearing sunscreen.

I have the same problem. I use Jergens Ultra Healing lotion. It keeps my dry skin soft, and smooth without greasy. It helps a lot. Hope this helped.

To prevent peeling I use Aloe Vera Gel, especially after being exposed to the sun.

I have to put vaseline around my nose and kind of up in it a little this time of year for the dryness. Make sure you wipe it off good in the morning but don't scrub around this area too much. Apply lotion or creamy baby oil during the day.

try exfoliating twice a week before applying your moisturiser and instead of using a moisturiser for dry skin try a combination one this way it wont make your nose oily.
