There are many kits that can be purchased to build your own amplifier. Though I have tried this, you are certainly better off just buying a factory built amp. Unless you really enjoy the hobby, you will only have paid more money to build it yourself and have no warranty to cover it...

build an amp would be ridiculously hard and a huge fire and safety hazard. Look online though, but my suggestion is to let the machines do the work at the factories and purchase yourself for you own safety and the safety of your sound system
