What are nerve pinches and where can you get them?

They can occur within the spine cord such as in vertebral stenosis, they can occur when they leave the cord as roots, causing radiculopathies, etc, and they can occur anywhere along their course, but especially occur in areas where they enter/leave/go under/between muscles and other structures (like bone, ligaments, etc).
