I was looking at this statistic that conducted a study showing that people that lose weight have a higher chance of dieing then others that kept their weight stable. I never heard that stat before so I was wondering if you have and were....

If you are obese, then dieting is usually not a permanent habit change, but a series of yo-yo-ing. It's the yo-yo that is not healthy. Best bet: before starting a diet, see your doctor and have him/her set you up with a meal plan, exercise plan, and figure out if there are other health problems lurking that you need to be aware of.

I would doubt that that is correct, however, it might be if the person lost the weight extremely quickly, especially if they did it with just diet or just exercise.
