I thought it was very good, he brought up a lot of good points. I liked how he introduced the people towards the end.

His speech is a bit better this time. He didn't mention the words "Axis of Evil" and "Bring 'em on!". Gone also is the arrogance that had characterized his previous speeches. Also, I have doubts whether he will carry out his promises. For one thing, now he talked about global warming, yet refused to sign the "Kyoto Protocol" years ago.

I saw the last 10 minutes.
He doesn't write his own speeches - I'm sure.
He said (at the end) a bunch of things that had to do with applauding other peoples' benevolent acts. Seemed a safe ploy to me.
I think he's pandering to the minorities right now - and it sure doesn't seem authentic.
He didn't fool me.

I'll read the text of it tomorrow. Don't watch TV. Reading it will give me a better chance to analyse what he really says. With ALL politicians you are better off taking your time to figure out what they really said.

No. First off, he is not a great orator. Second, he just told us what he thinks we want to hear. All his topics sounded wonderful, but he has had plenty of time to make things better. "To little, to late." Talk is cheap. Let's just see how much better the U.S. is when he leaves office.

I agree. His speech was one of the better ones tonight. He seemed more confident, and gave us some reassurance.

It was great! Did you see all the standing ovations and they clapped at almost everything he said! I was really impressed and am so glad I seen it. Normally I'm working.

I don't generally fall in love with speeches. But it was one of his better ones.

I liked it alot, I didn't watch the entire thing but it seemed good, not great, in my opinion. He also seemed quite calm and confident, which made me keep watching.

I thought it was pretty good, and he didn't look as distracted as he usually does when he's giving press conferences.
