I have two ideas. Either he was an astronaut on the Moon and he tripped and hit his faceplate on the rock, and all the air went WHOOSH out of his space suit and he dies for lack of oxygen, OR
He was walking along, minding his own business, when all of a sudden—POW! A meteor from space fell and hit him!

Several ways:
1.) Starvation.
2.) Lack of water
3.) He ate the rock & chocked.
4.) He banged the rock on his head simutaneously until he died.
5.) He stated to talk to the rock and became psychotic and died.

My friends ask me these things all the time, Its usually some crazy random answer. He was walking along and a wind blew him so he fell over and smashed his head into the rock, So he got amnesia and couldnt tell up from down or sand from water so he swallowed a bunch of sand and the sand in his stomach ground all of his organs out!!! thats gotta be it!!!

Does it have anything to do with the word "dessert". The 1 you used refers to things like ice cream & cake.

to be fair if he fell out of a plane he wudnt have to hit the rock to die, so there need not be a rock at all.
