If the car is regesitered in my name, can someone else get insurance for that car?
Can someone else other than the registered owner get insurance on it?
I have a car, and i want my girlfriend to drive it with her insurance, can we do that?

just because the car is n your name doesnt mean the insurance has to B cause my husband has insurance for me but the car is in my name hope this helps BUT THE INSURANCE HAS TO B FOR THAT CAR NOT ANY OTHER SHE CAN GET INSURACE FOR THAT CAR YEA

Again, and I don't know how many times I've said this, insurance goes with the car, not with the driver. Anyone driving your car with your permission is covered under your insurance which goes with your car, which is why the insurance card has a make model and VIN.

You can't use your Ford insurance to drive my Chevrolet, my Chevrolet insurance will cover you.

So, no, you can't do that.

Full coverage or liability? Your liability insurance isnt necessarily on your car. It protects you whatever car you drive. If she has liability she is covered while driving your car. It will pay for anything she hits. it will not pay for your car. If you have full coverage, most of the time it will cover your car when someone else drives it. If this is going to be a regular thing you might check with your agent and see if you should add her.

No, the owner has to insure it.

Forget trying to get one over on the insurance company.
