A healthy diet includes 5 to 10 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. This will help with your weight lose.

First of all, eating a lot of anything can be bad. For example, did you know that drinking too much water in one sitting can kill you?. If you are eating a moderate amount of fruit daily, say 2 to 3 servings, then you should be fine in terms of your goal of losing weight. If you are starting a low carb diet, then I would recommend minimizing your fruit intake as at the end of the day, fruit is mostly carbohydrates. Here's a trip - if you are concerned at your intake of carbs, try consuming your fruits in the morning or near the start of the day. This will mean those carbs will most likely be used as fuel during the day. As the day goes on, lower your intake of carbohydrates to lessen the chance they will be converted to fat. But really, if your diet is clean (minimal junk food) then eating a moderate amount of fruit really shouldn't interfere with your weight reduction since fruit is relatively low in calories. Good luck.

It isn't bad at all, as most fruits and vegetables do not contain that many carbs at all. you will not lose weight by JUST eating fruits and dieting, you must engage in some physical activity!

Fruits and vegetables contain vitamins, and some vitamins may be toxic is VAST quantities, such as vitamin K in carrots. Some are soluble, so no matter how much you eat it will not be harmful, such as vitamin C. Even then, you'd have to eat a garden-full of carrots to get vitamin K poisoning.

Fact: It takes more energy to eat a celery than the celery originally has in it!

Fruit is not bad.
Carbs are not bad.
Fruit is mainly carbs.

The way to determine whether you will lose weight is to eat fewer *calories* than you were before. If you eat 500 less per day, you will lose a pound a week.

Just make sure you are eating at least 1,200 calories per day, and getting moderate exercise. By the way, you probably should see your doctor to get some ideas on nutrition and exercise for the levels you currently are at.

Fruit are carbs-- good carbs. See site below to see who says that eating a lot of fruit is good for you. It tells how fruit contains good fats that help you lose weight and how. Avocados, olives and hard fruits like nuts and seeds have good fat.

Everything you eat must be moderate. Too much of certain fruits might increase your sugar level. Try a fruit called Guava. It makes you feel full and of high fiber.

You need to go light on the fruit, heavier on the vegetables....If you would leave pop (including diet) out of your diet, bread, potatoes, candy, no chips or crackers, very limited dairy, no cheese...no corn, not a lot of peas, light on the bananas....you should do pretty good...If you have bread....keep it minimal and it needs to be 100% whole grain wheat....whole wheat pasta noodles if you have to have it....it would be better if you didn't....If you are going to have rice....needs to be long grain...Lots of water. Limited fruit juice....Good luck.....

You're not really all that wrong. Eating a lot of fruit isn't as good for you as it's cracked up to be. Vegetables are far lower in sugar content and supply the same vitamins. Yes, it's a better source of sugar than a Snickers bar, but it's still sugar, and it can hurt weight loss efforts for some people. Some people also still think bread is good for you, what do they know? Look at an apple sauce label and tell me what's good about it... NOTHING AT ALL. But, obviously, if you're replacing artificial high-sugar foods with fruit, you are making a huge improvement in your overall health.
