You should read the book "Johnny Got His Gun". It's a story about a soldier who has half his face blown off as well as his arms and legs. He is blind and deaf. He can't talk. The story reveals how he eventually succeeds in communicating with a young nurse who is paying attention when he tries. Good story.

people often forget about our sense of balance and temperature..... you'd have to rely on your sense of balance to remain upright, you could feel resistance against your muscles to help navigate around things (imagine if your hands were numb with cold.. you would still know if they were pushing on something cos your arms would resist) and you would still have temperature sensors so you could detect heat and cold!

not to forget our sense of smell and taste... in fact, theres a device that can be attached to ones tongue which translates images to sensationg on your tongue..apparently this can trick your mind into producing images after some getting used too so there ya go, sight back :D

You would know your alive because you can still have your thoughts but you wouldn't be able to communicate to others so you might always think you are dead because u can't hear see or touch anything......it would be hard......it would suck.
