My aspirin bottle contains a few more detailed instructions which may help you , but I doubt it. Here goes anyway:
TO OPEN LINE UP ARROWS ON CAP & BOTTLE PUSH UP WITH THUMB.
You can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it.

Step 1: Is there plastic wrap surrounding the top of the bottle? If yes, remove that first and continue to step 2.
Step 2: Line up arrows, continue to step 3.
Step 3: Put thumb on top arrow of cap. Wrap fingers tightly around bottle and make sure no fingers are touching the cap. Only allow the thumb to touch the top arrow on the cap. Continue to step 4.
Step 4: With thumb, push cap UP and off. Use all your might. If this doesn't work, continue to step 5.
Step 5: Seek out assistance of strong male and tell him to go through steps 1 through 4. If he fails, continue to step 6.
Step 6: Find sledge hammer. Tape bottle to cement garage floor. Swing sledge hammer down onto bottle. Not working? See step 7.

Put in your cart. Proceed to checkout. Give money to cashier. Go home and repeat steps 1-6.

Line the arrows up, and then wedge the blade of a butter knife between the lid and bottle and pop the lid off! :)
