I'm in Canada too. Every pharmacy can read your drug history, but most people I know still go the same drug store.

Canada is diff. than in the US. If you are in the US you should always go to the same pharmacy if possible. It will enable the pharmacist to always double check your med. against the meds you are already taking. This will help decrease the chance of a drug interaction.

In Canada we have a National Pharmacy site which can retrieve medication information for a registered Pharmacist anywhere in the country. In this way a person can refill a prescription anywhere in Canada. The Pharmacists can also control over-medication or prevent a wrong combination of medications to be given a patient. I usually go to the same pharmacy however, except for when Im away from home.

At the same pharmacy. I was a pharmacy technician and know the importance of them knowing what medications a person takes compared to new prescriptions for possible interactions.

Smart people refill their prescriptions at the same place for safety. The pharmacy has your current records and if another doctor would prescribe something that would clash with another medicine, they could call him/her before giving you the new medicine.

I do, as it is easier. The pharmacy's at grocery stores are usually not as crowded as the drug stores.

well, used to be whatever was convenient... especially since I only take meds when I'm sick... and I usually go to like Minute Clinic or Urgent Care when I'm sick... not my regular doctor... so I go whever ever is open/closest... but now, I really like Target... I like that you have to have a child proof cap, the color coded ring, the easy to read label... so, I'm pretty sure I'm going to go there from now on...
