Certain fish oils can be very beneficial to dogs skin and coat. You're looking for oils from specific types of fish, ie: herring, manhaden, salmon, mackerel. Some fish oils are not recommended ie: cod liver oil, because it contains high levels of Vit. D.
You will see vast improvements in cognitive behaviour, skin, coat, nails, organ function and energy levels.
Hope this helps!

Fish oil is good for dogs, just like it is for people. It has many benefits. Omega 3 fatty acids can carry oxygen in the blood. It is "brain food", prevents strokes and heart attacks and helps keep dogs young. I started to give it to my dogs when one of them had a stroke at age five. he lived to be 16. It stopped the stroke and dizziness problems he had and the seizures he had, too.

I use the Kirkland Brand fish oil from Costco.

They are excellent for most dogs. I use an omega-3 oil supplement recommended by our vet. It took care of his dry skin and gives him a very shiny coat. If you are thinking of adding a supplement to your dog's diet, make sure you check with your vet first.

According to the blurb on the website, it's good for skin/coat/counters inflammations/helps immunity/helps their heart/god for arthritic dogs. My dogs are atheletes and I like that I can easily add this to their food.
