I can't give you encouragement.

My sister...last year...was feeling really sick, she kept saying she felt like she did when she was pregnant. She even swore something was moving. (she has four kids.) She kept saying, I can't be pregnant, I had a tubal ligation. She went to the doctor and said that...he laughed at her. He took a pregnancy test, but it came back negative. He told her he found a hernia (how do you spell that.) and sent her to another doctor...who when she said...I can't be pregnant, I had a tubal ligation. That doctor laughed at her and sent he for blood tests to see if she was pregnant. In the process...we were annoyed because neither doctor was being responsive or calling her back, so we went to another doctor who also laughed when she said she couldn't be pregnant. (after the third time...even she was laughing.) It turns out that she was pregnant, but the pregnancy was not in the correct area of her body, (where ever it is supposed to be...the uterus I guess. and it was NOT an ectopic pregnancy, so I am not really sure where the baby was growing...strange right.) and she miscarriaged. But we did learn that the stories you hear of woman getting pregnant after tubals are more common then you would realize. Especially since each doctor laughed at her when she said it.

Sorry for the lack of encouragement, but everything happens for a reason. I have to believe that!

My sister also has two Depo babies...so anyone reading this...don't trust that shot! (My sister is really fertile though...we actually know that for a fact because she donated some eggs to a family member, and the doctors were shocked at the amount she had to donate concidering she is 36.)

Good luck, and don't trust a regular pregnancy test. : )

You can definely get pregnant after a tubal. I have two sisters who both had a child after recieving one. One sister had her baby 12 years later. My other sister had her baby 2 years later. The younger sister had her tubal redone after the birth plus had her husband have a vasectomy. The other sister never did anything about it. Fast forward.... Both are fine healthy little monsters, well one is 18 and the other is 9. Now if it happens to me I will go nuts.

Congratulations on the baby, if there really is one! I've never had a tubal pregnancy myself, still being a kid and all, but my mom had one once. I would have had another big brother, but unfortunately he didn't make it. Suffice it to say, I'm here, aren't I? That's good enough for me!
I hope it goes as well for you!

My sister was conceived after a tubal.

The failure rate is around 0.5% per year, but with some procedures the failure rate goes up over time.

If you believe you may be pregnant it is important to see a doctor right away as there is an increased risk of an ectopic pregnancy and they may want to do an ultrasound right away.

the failure rate of tl is very low.also succes rate after re-anastomosis of the tubes is low (15-45%).You can try if you have really decided to be pregnant. It's an open surgery (not laparascopic). The best time to do Tl is during menses.Pregnancy after T.l is rare in hands of experienced surgeon.
