yeah, think of it as flushing you out. It fills you up without putting calories in your body as soda or juices would do. And it is also good for your hair and skin.

Drinking 2-3 quarts a day will help you lose weight, plus it is filling and you will not want to eat as much. If you follow a diet plan, something that is just common since-no chips, candy that sort of thing-you will actually see the fat sitting on top of your urine when you void, much like boiling a chicken. That is fat leaving your body. A doctor told me if you drink a lot of water you could almost eat anything--don't believe that, he was being funny since he said you can't eat a lot when you drink all that water. Also, you will tend to lose weight where you need to. Your face will still look good, your cells will be so happy and healthy, and you will feel better and better. I found that even if I don't want to drink it, if I make myself drink about 16 ounces 1st thing in the morning I will crave it all day. If you drink 3 quarts a day, do just a little walking, even slowly, you will start feeling like you have a new vitality. Let me know! I would love to hear back from you! gloriaslegend@yahoo.com DO IT, YOU WILL LIKE IT. After about 3 days it will probably make you feel great. Watch your urine for the fat, and let me know. OK?

I have never heard of this before. Drinking water is generally good for your health, and will definitely aid, and is necessary, when doing exercises/sports to keep you hydrated (and in turn by exercising, you lose weight).
What I have heard is that if you decide to lose a lot of weight and successfully do, but do not continue to maintain that level of fitness, water replaces the fat you've lost, and you generally better get back to working it off or you'll gain it right back! Right after your hard work in losing that fat is shown by the weight loss - is essentially the time you can gain it all back the fastest.

in a way it does because you are adding volume to your bloodstream, and when you do that your heart isnt pumping as much in order for blood to be transported. but when you drink water it can help you lose weight, not saying that water is the new diet pill but drinking water and exercising and eating the right food can help lose weight. H2O works

Find out about fastest way to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad fats, water retention and secret trick used by models to flatten their tummy before an event.
Reading a book will take you hours but the information on a post, taking minutes to read, is not enough. The webpage below has just enough to know what you need to know. Links page has gov. BMI calculater to find out just how much overweight you are (teens plug in your age to compare to others your age). Learn the science of how to nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat.

Yes, it "flushes" you out. And by not drinking soda, juice, etc., you won't have the extra calories going into your body.
Diet sodas are good, too. No calories. But by drinking water, it will make you feel better than drinking soda. Plus, water helps your skin as well!
