I turned on the presidents speech for just a few minuts and all I see is buttkissing by the people clapping so much.
Do the people not know how to wait till the end of the speech to give the president applause?

What do you think politics is? People in DC to so much keesterkissing that they have to apply chap stick to both ends!
Did you catch Hillary scowling and showing discomfort as though her pantyhose were riding up way too far? Ted Kennedy was pretending to be asleep, but was drunk as a skunk again (as usual). Dick Cheney's earpiece was showing and you can only wonder if he was listening into the NRA Channel for hunting tips. Nancy Pelosi standing behind W with that mallet must have been having some serious Rambo fantasies.

It confuses me! Yes, it would be better to hold any applause until the speech is over and then only applaud as much as is sincere. Maybe the general public should be able to login and rate the speech as it's goes along. It would be more realistic that way. Oh! Think of the possibilities! An interactive State of the Union address!

Haha that would be a little funny x] And yeah, I always clap when I listen to Janie's got a gun :O Yeah...I'm getting there with Sweet Child O' Mine and I always think the same thing's happened with Stairway to Heaven but then I listen to it again and I'm like "What the hell is wrong with me? This won't ever get old!" Yeah, we'll see. Another Brick in the Wall is also cutting it close...I can tolerate the beginning but then I end up turning it off. and yes! They play Foxey Lady so damn much, it's a little ridiculous. My mom actually turned to me one day and said "If they play this one more time..." and I'm on the verge of skipping Bohemian Rhapsody when it comes up on my ipod. Okay, I'm done blabbing.

It is standard, customary, and traditional for the members of Congress to applaud to show their support for the strategies the president recommnds.
