Luke 11: 9-10
Jesus meant that if you want a relationship with him, you need only to want it. He will never force it on you. Prayer, Bible study, and fellowship with other Christians (like soil, water & sunlight to a plant) are important & will help your relationship with Christ strengthen and grow.
If you are referring to what you perceive as unanswered prayer, perhaps he has answered you...but not the way you wish him to.
Sometimes God's answer is yes....or no......or simply not now.

Dear They're Savages:
I will give to you a door to open. The book is called, "A Course in Miracles." If you truly desire a door to open, this book will start you on a relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, step by step. The book is available at the Library. Also, sold on the Internet. Do NOT get interpretations of this book, but get the original book, itself. I advise reading the Text book first. Then you may continue on with the Lessons book, etc. Just read the Text book portion, first.
This Forum called Religion and Spirituality is filled with non-believers unhappy or uncomfortable in their lack of belief. They are searching for the door to open to them. Many are trying to hold back others who are serious about finding the door. Look past them. Someday they will find the door, too ! We are all scheduled to find the door.
Best regards, Lana

I suppose it depends upon which "doors" your knocking on? If you are seeking the Lord Jesus Christ with ALL your heart & soul, if your seeking in the "right place" (The Holy Bible) then Jesus WILL come in! That is a promise that He has made to any that truly seek Him! De 4:29 - But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. Ps 10:4 In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.
Ps 119:2 - Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.
Ac 17:27 - God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.
Heb 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Hope this helps ...at least a little?
May the Lord watch over & guide you until you truly do "see" Him, as He comes into your heart!

The same thing happened to me last week, this is what I said in reply: Democracy is merely an illusion. Your vote means nothing. Things are already decided for us. There can be no risks taken. Puppets on a string dance to the conductor's magic wand. All party's are the same. The falsely empowered will corrupt you no more. Nature being our nemesis, like bricks from an old decaying wall they will continue to fall. It's time for a new consciousness to awaken. It has already begun. The awakening is here. The words of the revolutionaries have never been heard more loudly. The poets write with ease in times of adversity. The sages' teachings are understood. No need to fear. The New World Order is near, your souls will soon belong to us!

What is it that you want when the door open??? Did you ask God a question? Knocking on the door means that you are searching out God and he will open to those asking him to.When you want to know him he will not turn you away

you should knock on Jesus' door, not on other doors. Jesus was talking about the door to heaven, not the door to other people's hearts. talk to Jesus. ask Him to help you. then He will open the door for you

You are not knocking hard enough. Sometimes you have to kick the damn door down.

Patience. God's timing and our timing are not the same. Maybe what you want is not what God wants for you. God always answers yes, no or not right now.
