Good question.
Research done on animals has demonstrated that parts of the brain responsible for vision do not develop normally if the animal doesn't have exposure to certain types of visual input during development. For example, they have done experiments where kittens had special goggles placed over their eyes during their development that only allowed them to see certain shapes. After a period of time, those kittens were only able to see those shapes, even when the goggles were removed.
Therefore, if a person's eyes were fixed, but nothing was done to the brain development, I believe that the person would still be blind.

There is a part of the New Testament where Jesus Christ gave sight to a man who had been blind since birth, and there's no mention of the man complaining that things looked different. I guess that just shows how miraculous and wonderful the healing power of Jesus Christ is.

maybe not scary...just different. i don't know, i've wondered about that too. i don't think that the blind people have totally no idea what humans look like, because mostly blind people have a great sense of tough. they can study the features of a person's face by feeling it with their hands. so maybe they would be amazed (or shocked) but it's not gonna be completely off.

lol I never thought of that before.

At least they can feel their own body and know the boundaries and limitations of what a humans proportions are.
That could be scary seeing humans walking all around you. I think that could give a little anxiety even if you're used to hearing them all around.
Hmm..
That's a great question. lol

I think everything would finally fall into place and make sense for the person.
They'd get to learn colors, read, drive, etc.
