an asian? with bad grades? thats like an oxymoron.
hah. jk.
i am asian myself, and i do get really good grades. i don't even try that hard half the time, but i still do well. i have no clue why. but that doesn't mean all asians have to get good grades. you can still be smart and get bad grades.
and asians can get bad grades just like anyone else. we just have a reputation of being smarter.

You're an Asian. So what, you are also a person. People are different, one from another. How about this. Asian equals person. Asian does not equal learning machine.
In many instances Asian parents apply much more pressure to their children. They are expected to get better grades because the parents know and understand the value of that education. My wife and I are both white, our youngest daughter passed her Math Exit Exam early in her Sophomore year. Something like 49% of the students in the US never pass that test. Her folks know the value of an education too.
Now hit the books, C's and D's will not get you very far in this world. You do want to be the one ordering the Big Mac, not the one flipping it, right?

This is just a stereoytype that people have in their minds that all asians are smart. To me sure it does seem to be fairly common but at the same time its a bunch of bullcrap. No one should judge a person based on appearence.
Some people have the glasses the looks to make you think "that person must be smart" Well guess what you may be wrong. and Sometimes the people around us we would least expect to be smart are infact quite smart but are very quiet and not one of those show-offs.
You cant judge a book by its cover
the same is true of people.
This is what I believe.

Who cares. As said, its nothing but a stereotype, all cultures and nationalites have smart people, some smarter than others. As long as you have common sense, that's all you need to survive. Just because academically you are not a brain, there may be a trade or hobby which you are passionate about and excel at.

African American, Asian, Caucasian who cares what your nationality is. When I see an Asian student I don't think oh yeah they are smart! The point to me is---- Why are you getting bad grades? And its obviously bothering you. So what are you going to do to improve your grades?

Just do your best. Your human 1st and Asian 2nd. :-) Einstein flunked math. I believe he also said imagination is more important than intelligence.

Oh, that's wrong. Just tell those people to stop stereotyping.
I dunno what's up with that 'smart Asian' outlook (I am one, even, and I don't know exactly how it started)...
