I have been ating raw, crushed garlic to kill off excess Candida in my gut . Does allicin kill "beneficial" bacteria in our gut since I have read that it can kill a wide range of bacteria?

It probably would. After you have stopped taking the garlic put some beneficial live bacteria back in by eating some live culture yogourt.

do you really think that garlic works? what makes you assume so? did you do a flush? a cleanse? if so, you basically just stripped your intestines of what is SUPPOSED to be there. even if it's "bad" bacteria....the bad bacteria is supposed to be in the gut so the good bacteria will keep muliplying-this will keep you immune to bacteria and does much more than that!

if you've gotten a yeast infection in the gut due to antibiotics, garlics not going to work either. you can try eating yogurt, however, if your intestines are really bad, it might be a good idea to seek the advice of a doctor.
