If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Is this used? Refurbished? Even if it is, it just sounds too cheap.

Pricegrabber.com says the lowest price on the internet is $1,289.99 up to $1,699.99.

They say that everything is brand new with a US warranty, though.

I went through the order process up to checkout to see if they hit you with $500 shipping or something, but it was completely reasonable. They had FREE shipping, in fact, but $30-some for insurance. They had a list of "recommended" options, including a 3 year extended warranty for about $350, a battery for about $300, so maybe they count of selling these items to newbies to make up for the (obvious) loss on the D200.

Be careful. I've heard horror stories about this site. You may get a D200 body but then you have to buy all the bits and bobs to make it work which normally come with the camera. eg, battery, strap and so on and so on..
There is a web site, ? resellers.com or something like that.

I'm thinking it might be legit. I bought my Nikon d50 at an extremely low price but the company made me call to verify the sale. At that time, the sales guy asked if I needed a lens, battery, battery recharger etc. That drove the price up. You can get the accessories a lot cheaper at different companies even on Ebay. I'd purchase it.

Does it have an American warranty? (Are you in the US?) This could be a grey market dealer. Call the better business bureau in their city, see what they have to say about the company. Also contact Nikon, ask them about the dealer. What is their return policy? And not just what the sales rep tells you. Get it on paper. Good luck.

"cheap" is not a word used when referring to DSLR cameras. They're expensive to make so Canon, Nikon and the rest must charge for them. The cheapest I saw on line was in the middle 600 range and the highest was about $1,200. You might want to opt for the D40 or the Rebel XS. I have the XS and love the camera. Good Luck

Scam, scam, SCAM!

Go to www,resellerratings.com. They have a lifetime rating of 0.79 out of 10.

Always check www.bhphoto.com for camera pricing. If another internet merchant isn't in the same ballpark, then expect a scam of some sort.

Then check resellerratings to see what other buyers have to say.

Seems a little too cheap even for a used. If it was $700 I'd believe it. Too good to be true. I wont really trust it. Never used expresscameras.com either so I do not know if that website is a relible one.

www.networksolutions.com WHOIS says the domain name's been active since March, 2000.

They take credit cards.

UPS ground shipping is free.

They have an 800 Number.

Their local number (area code 732) agrees with their claimed location (Edison, NJ)

Admittedly, the price looks awfully low, in my basket it's now $549.00, fifty dollars less, but I see no red flags.
