You will have to ask Aristotle. The use of persuasion doesn't truly affect people's attitude and beliefs in Christianity. It is the Holy Spirit that does the influencing.

The apostle Paul used rhetoric extensively in his letters as have Christians throughout the centuries. Christianity is about a complete conversion - the heart as well as the mind. Obviously, as Fish points out, the Holy Spirit is the One who does the work. But, the Holy Spirit many times works through other people. So, convincing a person of the reasonableness of Christianity plays a huge role in evangelizing.
