Going to NYC soon, tempted to go and see the knicks play. it will be my first basketball game - im english just goto Soccer here.

Is it worth going -- bearing inmind that i am not a fan, just think it would be interesting to see some live sports on my visit.

If not the knicks would the Ice Hockey be better to watch?

Either way i want to go into Madison Square Garden

For Knicks and/or Rangers tickets, buy them as far in advance as you can for the best seats.
Madison Square Garden is an arena with a great history, but the facility is old and feels old com paired to arenas built or refurbished in the last almost 40 years.
The Knicks this year are doing very badly with a record of 18 wins and 25 losses, with 10 wins and 12 losses at the Garden.

I'd rather see a rock concert at Madison Square Garden. I'm not a sports fan, but the hockey games look much livelier than basketball. On the other hand, basketball players have great legs and most of their own teeth.

Duno 'bout basketball but you should really go see sports when in NY.

I went to MSG to see icehockey this fall and it was great.
The ticketoffice is in the same building - we went there the same day and it was no problem at all gettign tickets.

Otherwise - try ticketmaster.com for all events and sports in NYC.

Good luck!
