My friend who was on a healthy diet and exercise regime ate fast food once in a while and still lost weight and was pretty healthy. Is it okay to have fast food once in a while? Once a week? Once in two weeks? And by fast food I don't mean a huge super size meal! More like a cheeseburger and maybe small fries or so.

Fast food is fine in small doses. It's just that most Americans don't eat fast food in small doses. That eat alot of it. Often. That's the bad part. So I think you'll be safe if you eat it once a week or less. As long as you aren't gorging yourself on it. So eat up. Have a big mac this month.

Once in two weeks. Watch supersize me, Mogan's doctor tells him how often people can eat it and still be healthy... but after watching it you won't want to even look at a McDonald's.

You should eat it as little as possible though, because it's really really bad for you. Even if it doesn't taste like it, it really is. I never eat fast food, because when I do I feel so bloated and weighted down... I just feel like crap.

If you eat healthy the rest of the time and exercise it shouldnt hurt.

You want to read some good info on fast food though get, "Fast Food Nation". You read that you may never eat it again.

Of course it is ok to eat fast food once in a while. Its probably good for you in respect of making sure that you are taking in a certain amount of oils and fats. And your friend is right, just don't binge or go out of control when ordering. Just don't do it every day. Probably once a fortnight is best.

Stay away from the stuff, it's nasty. Especially the fried stuff. I say go for something at least semi-healthy like Panera or Chipotle. It's plenty tasty and a bit healthier. Maybe once every 10 days or so.

You can pretty much eat anything you want when you excercise regularly. All the talk about fast food is going way overboard. A good workout 3 or 4 times a week is better than any diet on the planet.

Yes it is, a lot of diet plans are now stressing eat what you ate before just do it in moderation. Like instead of having a whole slice of cake have a sliver or even just a couple of bites just to satisfy the craving.

I use to think it was safe but its not. That will cause you to gain weight. Even once every week and even every two week's. Even if its a cheese burger or a small fry. Cheese is the worset hing that you can have when on a diet because that will cause you to gain weight.

throwing a high fat meal in once a week kind of jump starts the metabolism. Check out the Wendy plan - people on weight watchers are familiar w/ the method.
