I'd suggest learning English properly before even attempting a second language.

Do you know what you'd would like to do as a career? Spainish would be very useful generally in the US. As many have pointed out, Latin is a base language for a lot of European languages and would help make learning others easier. Arabic would be good if you wanted a job, say, in intelligence work because they're having a hard time finding good translators. China is going to become much more influential in the world because of its consumer and producer population, so there should be a lot of opportunity there, especially if you'd be interested in international trade.

Take Spanish. The U.S. is full of Spanish speakers and Spanish is one of the world's most used languages. In today's world it's very important to have Spanish speaking ability. Spanish will be a valuable asset in countless fields. If you find yourself spending a lot of your future in Europe, take Latin, German, or French. But Spanish is definitely the best choice.

I took Latin and really enjoyed it. However in the world we live in today, taking Spanish, Chinese or Arabic can be a big plus once you go to get a job in the marketplace.

Latin is the root language for Spanish, Italian, and French, so if you continue to college, it might be useful. Spanish is becoming more prevalent in America. Arabic might be handy, should you decide to travel to any countries where it would be useful.

I studied Latin and French. Latin was the most helpful. It teaches base words that are used in all the romance languages and teaches you how thoughts are turned into sentences.
I have forgotten nearly all the French, as I never used it, but remember the basics of Latin and it helps me in everyday life.

its a bit tougher but i would go with arabic. if you continue your studies into college, you can become an FBI agent or CIA operative or something like that and work within the government on their efforts in arabic speaking countries
otherwise, choose spanish. pretty soon, it will be a second official language.
