The most affordable 7.62X39mm I've found is American Eagle made by Federal it should cost 10 to 11 dollars per box of 20. I use Winchester silver tip for hunting.

If your shooting an AK or SKS the Russian crap is OK , but if it's a rifle you want to keep for a long time I would stick with U.S. ammo.

I have a AK and a Rugger Mini 30 , there's no way I would fire Wolf, Tiger or any other steel jacketed ammo in my mini 30

Wolf and Golden Tigger are both pretty cheap and you buy them in bulk to save a little more. Cheaperthandirt.com or get a copy of Shotgun News.

No such thing as "cheap" copper jacked ammo anymore.

And standard Wolf Ammo is not copper cased. It is steel cased and lacquer coated.

Take a magnet and go test some in your area the stores will usually let you do it.
If not don’t buy it.
That the only way for FMJ does not have to be copper to be called FMJ.
