im trying to astral project, and it doesnt seem to be working out. anyone got any hints?

Astral projection has been achieved, but is not something to be taken lightly or experimented with. (I've known those who did it and said it was very frightening.) There are entities on the astral plane that should not be encountered. If you are going to do it (not recommended) you should have very intense instruction and a guide. Be very careful if you proceed.

The reason you can't do it is because nobody can!
If anyone tells you they can, make them prove it. Create a simple test where you place some objects in a room, then have them astrally project into that room and name all the objects. They won't be able to do it. No person that's written a book on it can either. If they could, they would take Randi's million dollar challenge.
About all anyone will tell you is some form of self hypnosis, which will make you think you're out of your body.
A lot of methods talk about trying to astrally project right before you go to bed. These people aren't astrally projecting either, they're just dreaming.
Trust me, no one can really make any occult stuff work:. Not even the famous occultists that wrote books.

Astral travel is one of those abilities you achieve through either spiritual purification until your spirit is 'clean' enough to enter the astral plane without risking damaging with aspects of your negative ego, or by being born with the gift. Now admittedly like any 'rule' there are exceptions, however I would not bank on being one of them. There are websites out there with purification and cleansing spells that might be of aid. I might also suggest casting a circle around yourself before making another attempt. This will fortify you with your own energies and make your will the strongest within that circle.

it takes time. ive been at it for a year, and ive not progressed at all. maybe study up on it. read- astral dynamics.
