most people don't know this but the banana peel produces heat..which when exposed to sunlight makes it even more warm which in turn makes it ripen to quickly .Even too much handling of the fruit makes it ripen.Its best to get a metal stand to hang the bananas on or put them in the frig that will help sustain life..

Yes it does...the reason a banana turns yellow when ripe is due to the sunlight..and if you have ever tried it...i put a banana in the fridge and because there was no sunlight the banana turned brown right away

Actually, I think they are more affected by air and higher temperatures, that's why sticking them in the fridge doesn't hurt
