Drink a lot of water. I was in a similar situation once. If you're infection is very bad, this won't help and you will need medication. Don't want to let it go too long, if it gets bad enough it can lead to problems with your kidneys. If the infection isn't that bad yet, you can flush it out with water. Even after you start to feel a little better, drink lots of water. When I've had mild infections, I've just drank lots of water and the infection went away. I'm not a fan of cranberry juice myself. Also, stay away from carbonated beverages. They create a favorable pH for the infection.

Yes but be mindful that if you begin to run a fever that the infection is getting worse and perhaps might go up into your kidney. Also keep in mind that the symptoms might be gone but the problem is still laying in wait so continue for at least a week drinking like mad. Take extra Vitamin C. The excess that your body pees out will up the acid in your urine and flush out any bacteria. Pure cranberry pills are very effective too. Make sure you check and see that the cranberry you are drinking is 100% juice or you are doing nothing but drinking mostly sugar which will give a new life to the bacteria in your bladder. Also do something called the double void. Use the bathroom, wait 5 minutes go again and this time lean all the way over. I hope you feel better soon!

Oh my dear, I feel for you truly I do. Bladder infection is the only thing that will make me get up immediately and go to a doctor. Can't you get sulfer or antibiotics. There is a dye called peridia, that eases the discomfort. In the US it's usually a prescription medication; however, it may not be where you are. There is an over-the-counter med that is like peridia and it is AZO standard. see if they have that but you need an antibiotic.

I have found the overseas pharmacists very good at treating...I know from experience in Greece. Go to one and tell him whats going on and he will help you out. As for helping sleep I just wouldn't know for that, don't they have some mixed juice there that has the cranberry juice in it? I know its hard to find, most over there are other fruits they mix but search around. How about camomile tea? Is there an older neighbor around you that you could ask? They can help tell you for they probably don't use the doctors as much as we do in the states;, also probably have a whole list of home remedies.....same as in Greece they don't either....Good luck

Drink all the water you can and try another acidic drink - grapefruit or grape juice - to acidify your urine. Take aspirin or ibuprofin for pain. Get to the doctor ASAP if you cannot acquire cranberry juice. You need medication.

An old wives tale says to drink tons of water, room temperature, each tall glass with a tablespoon of salt. Drink as much as you can and you are suppose to be able to urinate soon without little trickles or pain. I surely hope this helps you.

cry in a corner.... bladder infections hurt, and can be very serious, You need to get to a Doctor ASAP. You can actually die from a bladder infection, or ruin your chances of having children. they do have over the counter meds in the pharmacy. Ask the pharmasist and she'll help you find them.

aahhh it hurts to be you! Try drinking lots and lots of water-an over the counter anti-inflammatory such as ibuprofen helps also. Avoid anything with caffiene-such as coffee-as it irritates the situation.Something ashy such as grape juice helps-wine is ashy-but the alcohol is irritating.

ibuprofen, advil, motrin. any strong painkillers may kill the pain. but you should still see a doc for this. you could really suffer.
if no doc AT ALL then you might wanna find a friend, or you can just get cheap insurance.
