the house that we moved into in 1998 had scratch marks all over the walls. there were crosses all over the house. in the balcony, someone wrote 'god saves us all'.
Since moving into this house, my brother, 2 years old at the time used to be scared all the time, but couldnt tell us what was wrong. Since after, he went a bit mad, and stopped talking. (He is 10 years old now). Every toy that he used to play with, used to go off by themselves in the middle of the night. I used to get so scared and block my ears. Sometimes the buttons were being repeatedly pressed, so i would go down and take the batteries out. Many times i saw a shadow in front of my bed. Once me, my mum and brother we in the living room late at night talking. We could see shadows moving in the kitchen, and there was a loud noise. I never felt safe in that house, always felt like being watched. I am glad we are not living there anymore. For people who have not experienced it, its hard to believe, but I really believe in ghosts. We were later informed that a man had died in the house and the body was there for quite a while.

YES,I BELIEVE I SEE DEAD PEOPLE!
Sorry couldn't resist.
We lived in a house when i was a child that was really haunted.
It was so bad,my dad was scared to go to the loo!
We were all sitting in the living room, then you would see a white streak of light move from one side of the door to the other. It was mostly in the hall.
Anyway, just before we moved(my dad said he couldn't take it any more),He made a joke.
Our things were in boxes already and some were standing in the kitchen.
He said out loud that if the f****ing ghosts were real,he wanted to see some action. We went to bed,The next morning all the chairs of the breakfast table were turned upside town on the table, and the boxes were on top of them.I have never seen my fathers face so white.
Our nanny also reported that the kettle would go on and off during the day without any one touching it.We were all so scared,we moved in a weeks time!
Hope that story told you something.......
Ghosts exist, there may be one behind you!
BOO!

Yes this does happen. Watch "A Haunting" on Discovery channel on Thursday nights. You can contact a pastor to come and bless your house and exorcise the spirit if it is a violent one. If he isn't violent then you could just live with him. Some times if you exorcise a spirit that is not bad it can have bad results because that spirit may have been suppressing an evil one keeping you safe. And by no means insult a Spirit that is only asking for trouble. Kids are more in tune to the spirit world than we are...

I believe there are ghosts.
My daughter from the day she was born has been able to see them. There was one at her Nan's house that would turn on my daughters lamp when she woke up in the middle of the night. And turn it off when she fell asleep. It would also make one of her toys make noise ( speaking toy) as she got older it started to freak her out, so we talked to the ghost and told it we appreciated it watching over her and if there was anything we could do for it. It stopped freaking her out after that. But still turns on the lamp. And if my girls arent in their own bed by bed time the lamp turns on and off. I think the ghost wants them to be in bed by bed time so she can watch over them.
Also when my daughter was about 2, she wasnt eating her dinner and started crying, we asked her why and she said the bad man behind me!!!! We looked and couldnt see anything, but she refused to eat till the bad man went away. We asked the ghost to leave and lighted incense sticks and walked through the house telling the ghost we didnt want him in our house. Then we laid salt across the doorways to barr any bad sprits entering.
Get your daughter to talk to the ghost and ask it what it wants. If its friendly it should be fine, she should make friends with it and talk to it when it makes her feel uncomfortable.
Generally most ghosts are harmless. During my life I've seen a few ghosts and felt them. They like being talked to, thats what I've found.
Good Luck with your daughters new ghost.

My best advice to your daughter would be to acknowledge and respect this man. He is not threatening towards her or the baby so he could develop a protective thing especially for the baby. Tell her not to be scared and maybe talking to him might help, stuff like saying hello and goodnight.
Also ask around the area about who lived in the house and what happened to them.
I don't see any harm in this man.
Don't be scared and good luck!

Oh yeah.
When I started babysitting where I do, I almost quit right away because of it.
In the kitchen, whenever I make food for him I feel someone watching me, even if he is in the crib napping.
For the first months, whenever I would get a big knife to cut something up, I felt someone grab my arm *very gently, like they were trying to calm me down or something*.
Whenever I put him down for a nap and sit in the chair, I see a little boy standing in the doorway watching me and looking like he is trying to hide from something. For the first few weeks, I would see it out of the corner of my eye and think the little boy got out of his crib, then I'd notice this kid was ALOT taller (maybe 5-8 years old.)
And if I go to check on him, sometimes he will be awake talking and laughing.
I believe in them... and believe kids can see them more.... but anyone who is willing to see them can.

While I have never seen ghosts....I do have 'something' that comes here. I call them my 'visitors.' There are several that I know by their 'scents.' One is what I call the 'old man' because he smells of pipe tobacco. There is an older lady...due to the fact I always smelled coffee brewing on Wednesday evening....and she has left her 'scent'(perfume) on my wrist. And the third is a guy like in his early 40s. He was the one that always stood in doorways staring at me. I actually caught myself saying 'excuse me' when I thought I bumped into him. But these...whatever they are.....seemed to be watching over me as to protect me. But the only thing that ever alarmed me was....they would throw things off shelves...either here at home or even in stores. And that was a warning that within 3 days(sometimes sooner) someone I know would die. The only time I was ever alarmed when the first one decided to let me know they were there...and ran their fingers through my hair on the right side of my head right above my ear. As long as they don't scare me.....I have gotten use to them, and have actually talked to them.

Yes, I have. When my oldest daughter was about 2yrs. we were living in a trailer. Her bedroom was clear on the other side. So she had a habit of crawling out of her bed and coming to met her dad and me. One night I saw a small dark figure standing in our bedroom doorway, so I called to it, thinking it was my daughter, as soon as I called out to it,it turned to walk away and it disappeared into thin air. I went check on my daughter and she was sleeping soundly in her bed, it scared me enough I brought my daughter to bed with my husband and I.
