Shouldn't the people who have strong feelings of support for Bush and the war in Iraq be the first ones to serve instead of others who have to go for the 2 or 3 tour?

Well haha that's a great notion. But seriously, we keep a ready force (active duty) and inactive force (reserves). These are the peoples who should fight the wars period.

At this point it is hard to say whether more troops are or are not necessary in Iraq. Personally, I think that the first thing we should do is remove the current admistration leaders in an effort to show the International community that we do not hold with unilateral action from any government. In that way we may be able to regain international support and help with Iraq and minimize some of the anti-America sentiment in the world today.

Peace!

Hindsight (or foresight if you were paying attention) said we should have went in heavy, and with a lot of unit commanders that speak arabic in the first place. We should have disarmed the populace and rebuilt and got the heck out of there.

And that's IF we went in, and it wasn't imperative that we do so. But 9/11 gave the Administration a window of opportunity to fan the flames of hysteria and do something they had been wanting to try, and they did it the way they wanted to do it and forced anybody who spoke up against it into retirement.

So here it is. A mess. Now we're just trying to figure out if it can be made to be less of a mess. In the end, we'll leave a mess and have a bunch of coalition collaborators we need to help find new homes.

It`s easy to be a strong supporter when you are sitting in a lazy boy sofa at home with a beer in your hand watching your big screen TV. I agree send the fanatical supporters and see how they enjoy 1 year in Iraq.

It's just my opinion, but I think the first two people we should send are the Bush twins. It W had his kids in Iraq, this war would come to a speedy end.
