even if the technology to "jam" nuclear detonations exsisted, it would be IMPOSSIBLE to launch a surpirse attack on the scale your suggesting. that coupled with the fact that 1 carrier group "doing excercises" made the chinesse goverment take a lighter stance on taiwan. the chinesse navy doesnt even rank in the same Galaxy as the USN, they have NO capital ships, there largest ship is a crusier. we would destroy any invasion attempt with airpower. Smash it flat in fact. the possiblity of china "invading" the US is nonexsistent
but as to if it did happen i gurantee the US armed resistance would mess them up something fierce, anarchist cook book anyone. as our national guards armed themselves and made a line (probably the rockies) that the chinnese couldnt penetrate the insurgency of americans on the "red" side would cause them holy hell.
as to china not invading anyone... thats laughable they helped communist goverments fight in revolutions Korea were an est. 1 million chinnesse soldiers died, as well as vietnam

1. India won't touch China, and conversely China isn't touch India. North Korea doesn't care about anything. Afghanistan and Pakistan are on the edge and unlikely the terrorists speak Chinese . 2. This won't stop for a while, so this is a problem they will have for a long long time. 3. Japanese won't touch them now 4. Disagree with the education standards, they have a large number of intelligent people (not necessarily good in terms of proportion to population, but that wouldn't matter anyways) 5. Ok.... It is a trading partner already. US does have some issues which need to be worked regarding human rights and you are correct, the US cannot be a rolemodel for human rights. China is not a threat to the US. It's just the right-wing extremists who consider it a threat that are going around scaring people.

Our allies would jump into the fight.
The Phillipines, Japan and South Korea even if overrun would resist. Australia, if nothing else, would be a royal pain to the Chinese as would the rest of NATO.
If by some miracle the Chinese made it to North America, the North Americans (yep all of them) would rally. Chinese forces would begin having logistic problems(if not a crisis).
Ultimately, the tide would turn as the Chinese forces would continue to suffer from logistic problems and the Allies push them out of the Western Hemisphere and back across the Pacific.
A stalemate would proabably form somwhere along the Eastern Pacific Rim

It is likely they would appeal to the Mexican separatist groups to aid their conquest, promising them a section to call Aztlan, thus securing an internal ally.
Americans who are still armed would fight, as would the National Guard and any military still in-country.
Canada would come to the aid of the US, recognizing the threat to themselves.
The real problem is, China is a Socialist/Communist nation and that ideology now governs about half the US population. US Leftists, enamored with Socialism/Communism, would aid the Communist Chinese who would be promising them a good position in the new order of things.
It would get ugly all right.

I think U.S. forces will march into china and a war will occur. I belive the chinese will win because they were prepared for this a while ago and because there population numbers are huge and chinas a big continent. I belive China will not ever do that because they cannot find the technology of jamming nukes befor we do. China is very low on tech considering it is a comunist country with few cars

militias are useless in modern warfare, the Chinese will have trouble resupplying and deploying that many troops
in ww2 the allies constantly ran out of fuel and supplies and this slowed their advance , a Chinese invasion would be on a far more massive scale, as the went north the winter would cause even more hardships for them.
America does have allies and even a small ally with submarines capability could cause havoc with their resupplies from china causing ultimately their defeat as Napoleon said an army marches on its stomach.

Wouldn't happen. Logistics and 4000 lines of communication and supply could be easily strangled and US military would simply mop up anything that may have gained a beach head on the mainland and quarentine any island hopping force with air superiority.

I think from there we could get some help from our friends from the U.N. and try to stop the Chinese. With how many people they have, especially if they bring more, it would be a very difficult test. Most likely we would suffer a downfall much like Rome's end from Germanic invasions. After the fall of the U.S.A. the world would be very different. The free world we are fighting for could come to an end.

china would lose if they invade the US mainland, as much as USA would lose if they were the invaders of china. this kind of war will not be won by who's the better soldier, but who can deploy, deliver support, and endure hardships better.
