I shall assume that by "cold pasta" you mean a pasta salad. One of my favorites is an Antipasti Salad, recipe as follows:

1 box Rotelle pasta, cooked until tender and drained and cooled
1 bottle Italian salad dressing, I use Berensteins Cheese Fantastico
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 chub dry salami, chopped into bite sized chunks
1 container feta cheese, I prefer the ones with mediterranian herbs or sundried tomatoes
1 can sliced olives, drained
1 bunch green onions, chopped

Blend all ingrediants and chill. Stir thoroughly before serving. This recipe will taste better after it sits and the pasta will absorb most of the dressing. Yummy!

Chicken Pasta Salad

2 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
3/4 cup steak sauce
1 (12 ounce) package fusilli pasta
2 cubes chicken bouillon
1 Vidalia onion, diced
2 avocados - peeled, pitted and diced
1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
1 cup Ranch-style salad dressing
DIRECTIONS
Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat. Place breasts into a glass baking dish and marinate in steak sauce for 15 to 60 minutes.
Grill chicken until no longer pink and the juices run clear. Remove from grill, and chop into bite-size pieces.
To a large pot of boiling water, add bouillon cubes and pasta. Cook pasta until al dente. Drain, and rinse under cold water.
In a large bowl, combine chicken, pasta, onion, avocados and tomatoes. Mix in salad dressing, cover, and refrigerate until chilled.

Ingredients:
Pasta: such as rotini, or shells (or similar form)
1 Packet of Good Seasons Salad Dressing (or other dry dressing)
Black Olives
Sun Dried Tomatoes
Olive Oil
Baby Spinach
Feta Cheese

*Boil the pasta in the with the Good Season's dressing packet (dry powder). Then drain.
*Blanch the baby spinach - just a few seconds in boiling water will do it.
*Toss the pasta, black olives, feta cheese, spinach and sun dried tomatoes along with olive oil and salt (to your taste).

Most of the ingredients are ready to be mixed in - and do require little or no prep.

Plus this is a great stand alone dish - or can be paired nicely with another main dish.

If you like cold pasta dishes - this is a must try....

Mix your cold pasta with mayo and add tuna and corn, make a separate dish and leave out the corn for the grandparents, or have cold pasta mixed with grated cheese and onion, you can leave the onion out if all of the guests don't like it, you could substitute it with peppers, red, green and yellow it will not only look good but taste good too. Hope this helps you.

I like pasta with green beans (fresh, steamed are best), boiled red skin potatoes, pesto and pine nuts. This is yummy whether hot or cold- I usually have it hot with a salad and bread the first night and then have it cold as leftovers. You can buy pesto in a jar at the grocery store, or make your own.

Serve ala carte alongside cold meat, chopped vegetables, and salad dressing. People can put together their own pasta salad however you like. Use whatever you have in your fridge you'd like to get rid of.
