dated this guy on and off for about a 9 months. Never had a close relationship with his mother when you look at her it just seems like something is wrong with her mentally.Every week she goes to the hospital but she doesn't drive herself.She always has here son drive her even though she has her own car. She never calls me to just to say hi but she pops out of nowhere and ask for rides to the hospital I barely know this lady name her son personally told that sometimes she fakes like she in pain just to get attention. yesterday she gives me a call to of course ask me to take her to the hospital because they gave her the wrong prescrption. I told i would after i got out of school which was around 7:30 not relizing her son gets off of work at 8:00 So my mother didnt like the idea of me driving her around so she told me i couln't take her. I didnt care i have no obligation to her Just to let you her son stood me up on prom night i had to go by myself.this family is a bunch of scrubs.

Someone from that house is always wanting something. Damn her f@$king son owes me $100. She didnt even offer gas. i tired of there BS. they need to get it together in that household. I will never marry into a family like that
Was i wrong for not at least calling her and telling her i wasn't coming?

A family with problems. In your case I'd say an ex is an ex and be thankful for that! No one likes to feel like they have let someone in need down, especially someone they know. But you don't really know her, and if her son never bothered to explain prom night...( I suppose their is always the possibility he had to take her to the hospital...) Anyway, if your not interested, your not interested, and it sounds like you've already done more than your share. I do rather feel sorry for her son though.
Girl, just read your added notes. Maybe you should have called and told her. I really don't know. You sound like your drowning in guilt, and honey it ain't yours, walk away, stay away. If you were married to the guy, had his kids, he dumped you, and his mother has been good to you maybe.... do yourself a favour, walk away.

Yeah, she's a regular at the hospitals...and probably with the ambulances too. We had them all the time.
They'll tie up personnel with their BS while the real emergencies have to wait. I agree with you, you have no obligation to her...so next time she calls.....tell her you can't take her. Continue to refuse her, and eventually she'll leave you alone. Best of luck to you.
