Spanish. I studied French for 6 years but never got a chance to use it. Since this country is being over run by Latinos, I think Spanish would be more useful.

Spanish without doupt. Most of America speaks spanish and so do the spanish, its a very easy language to learn and its kinda sexy like italian only less infatic. France is kind of dull compared to vibrant south and central america and the language is irritating and nausiating to listen to as if they only have 2 vowels urrrhhh and ohhh as if they've given with everything there saying. The people who think french well they have not seen happy feet.

Actually, i'd rather learn Japanese, but of the 2, maybe Spanish since a big part of the US speaks Spanish, plus then i could understand their Soap Operas. But French is the language of love, so i don't know. Either's okay, i guess. But i'd still prefer Japanese.

I learned Spanish and I'm glad I did. Being bilingual Spanish has helped my career a lot. But now I tried to learn French and I can't get the accent. Spanish is just easier to learn. The best things about Spanish is that their vowels only have one sounds unlike ours and now I can understand icky guys saying nasty things about me in Spanish when I go to Mexico to visit friends!

I know some of both. I'd choose Spanish because I like the sound more and if you live in the U.S. it's expected to be the main language in another 5-10 years.

Spanish because i see it becoming more useful to me in the future than French. Hopefully South and Central America will get on their feet, and become industrial nations, and my Spanish will be more usefull. Besides, once you know Spanish (or French) it's easier to catch on to spanish, french, italian or latin

spanish deffenately. It sounds exotic and it is soooo easy to learn. I am in my 3rd year i know that it isn't much but i have learned so much. And there are so many cognates that it isn't even funny!! Cognates are words that sound the same in spanish as english! If you have to choose for school or even if you just want to learn it out of a book i would choose spanish no doubt about it hunn!!
