My husband and I are gonna get each others names tattooed. It's not enough for me to just get his name. I want something that is special and can sum up how we made it together in the first place. I think that the Rascal Flatts song really does that. I just don't know how I could turn the words of the song into a picture.

A heart split open with little stars coming out and floating to gather at the top of the heart. You could put his name in the stars.

Maybe something like this?
God's hands holding a broken road that turns into a whole road. Maybe have a few stars along the road like they are leading you to him. At the end of the road you could have his name tattooed above two intertwined wedding rings.
Whatever you choose it will be a beautiful symbol.:)

A rocky road that splits open to his portrait
OR
A storm cloud with his name as the rainbow
OR
a broken heart with a golden needle leading off of what looks like a "patch" which would be his name instead of the standard stitches - - - -
OR
A rocky road with lil tire tracks in it or footprints with a detour sign and his name in the detour road splitting off of the main road

Tell your artist what you want and they can draw it up. I am constantly bugging my artist with ideas. The last one was words and dates that looked like a grocery list. She used some of what I wrote and used pictures to symbolize the rest.

how about a road with a huge ray of sunshine coming from the clouds with hands spread out, as if they are giving the sunshine. I love the song too.

mmmh, you could use the road theme in the style of lettering you have, I'm thinking a road which spells out his name, with stars across it, maybe make the lettering really broken up and rough..
