They will tell you on the invitation, it will tell you the uniform and civilian attire. And don't worry, if it is a lunch, just wear something that you would wear to a business lunch. If you still aren't sure, ask your husband to ask a more senior person's wife. Part of being in the military family is looking out for each other and part of the more senior people's family's duties is to look out for new member's families (remember that later, you will have to help newcomers). And don't be nervous, if you like your husband, you will like the people there, they are all positive and nice people. And they will help you with other issues that arise during your husbands time on active duty. Have fun!

If you are not sure ask one of the other wives.

Also what is your husband wearing?? If for some reason all of them are going to be wearing "blues" then formal (unlikely to be the case at a luncheon)

My guess that a nice dress or dress suite would be very acceptable.

And don't be nervous. Enjoy. After all, you going with the best looking man there.

You can never go wrong with business casual. This means some type of slacks and a nice blouse. Maybe even a nice blazer or jacket. That will blend for all occasions, and you wont be over dressed or under dressed. But wear comfortable shoes that will blend with the outfit.

Just wear a suit, and quit worrying.
