i am sixteen and i weigh 110. i would like to weigh 100.
i try to keep my intake lower than my calories burned
and i do ballet for an hour twice a week
and i try to go to the gym for like an hour once a week.
anything else i can do?

okay well i don't necessarily want to lose the 10 pounds. i just want to turn the fat into muscles. any specific gym machines i could use or something??

A proper diet is the best way to lose weight naturally and keep it off. You have to eat a varied adequate and balanced diet. Your body needs all kinds of food to function properly including fat in smaller quantities though. Your body needs the nutrients and vitamins in fruits and vegetables the most, that is what you should eat the most of (at least 5 servings a day). You also need protein, and a little fat. Reduce your intake of sweets, fried food and foods that contain a lot of fat. Don't drink too many alcoholic beverages or soft drinks (they have a lot of calories). I have been losing about 3-5 lbs. a month for (believe it or not) about 18 months. Went from 365 down to today's weigh-in weight of 255. Who likes slow-n-steady, though, eh? So, this month, I switched from lots of water to lots of GREEN TEA and aso Chromium Picolinate (200 mcg/day - 1 tablet). Hot, cold, whatever I feel like, and always with heaps of saccharin or aspartame (I have a relentless sweet-tooth but don't want to consume calories!). Well, despite losing 100 lbs. by the end of 2006, I lost 10 lbs. this month (so far) -- which, I am afraid to say, is heaps for me. So, I am thanking the GREEN TEA and CHROMIUM PICOLINATE tablets.

omg ur 16 and weigh 110 punds u dont need to loose 10 pounds you'll be a stick and not healthy

My suggestion is to eat more fiber and vegetables. Lay off the Sugar, Cakes, Soda, Cracker's, Cheese and Pizza.

take a walk every day
Eat a salad before meals. Lettuce contains a lot of water which makes you feel full.
