If I am not mistaken a psychologist is a licensed physician as well. so all of them.

Psychologists cannot dispense or prescribe medicine. A psychiatrist can.

One New Mexico ...Psychiatrists dispense drugs they are a MD.....Psychologists are PHD......If anyone cared to read the article they would see New Mexico does allow there Psychologists to give medicine related to the field...They do have to take lots of classes to be able to do it but they can give medicine....

Only a psychiatrist who is a Doctor can prescribe medication. Psychologists and therapists cannot. This is universal throughout our Nation.
