A lot will depend on how old you are, and if your Mother feels that you can supervise a 14 year old girl - can you play the role of a parent as oppose to a brother?

I think if you explain it to your Mom in terms of, letting her live with you will make things easier on the Mom & her new friends in terms of there will be less people to care for - maybe she will go for it.

If she doesn't agree to this, ask your Mom for a test period. Maybe your sister can stay with you for 3 to 6 months, while your Mom works on settling in her new surroundings. Probably at the end of that period, she will not want the daughter to come.

Not sure about the laws in Canada but a 14 year old can, if she chooses, be pretty tough to order around. I'd certainly give living with you a try. Have her start staying with you. It will be very difficult for the authorities to intervene on behalf of the mother if she goes to them.

Try talking it out with your mum first & show her that you are resonsible & not a party animal as rasing a 14yr old is a big responsabilty !!

YES by all means PLEASE LET YOUR SISTER LIVE WITH YOU! You dont know what this guy is like he sounds like trash to me. You dont want him or his son doing anything to your little sister. So YES she can come live with you.
