In case you already don't know, people aren't overweight just because they overeat. There are many conditions where a person is overweight and or a slow metabolism, and it has nothing to do with their eating habits or exercise. Unfortunately many people have this view that overeating is the only cause, because that is only how the media portrays obesity- they don't profile the many people who are obese not due to overeating.

What I see complaining is ignorant thin people who find fault with others who aren't thin like them.
Yes, many people are overweight because they do not exercise, but not all of them. Yes, some eat too much, but did you know that poor people can only afford to eat foods like McDonald's because it is cheap. Healthy food is expensive.
Some people are overweight because of a medical condition or as a side effect of a medication. Don't assume when you see these people that they are lazy and eat too much, for you may be wrong. Stop judging others, as you do not know the whole story.
I gained 60 pounds when I became hypothyroid. This was with eating under 1800 calories a day and walking 25 miles a week. The weight I gained with this condition caused insulin resistance, so now I had 2 reasons why it was difficult to lose weight. I got on medication, but it only helped a little bit. It took me 5 years to lose 30 of the pounds I put on. I still have 30 more pounds to go. Do I blame something......you bet I do. I blame the medical condition I have. I am not lazy, I do not overeat, and I eat healthy. I don't need some uninformed person making assumptions, especially when they think they know it all and is quite evident that they don't

You're the one who's doing all the complaining right now. In my life time I've never heard or seen an overweight person complain. Stop blaming overweight people for whatever problem you are going through.
I encourage all overweight people & others to give this JERK a piece of your mind for using overweight people as a target for blame. I disagree with you whether I'm fat or not because you blaming overweight people is plain hatret for overweight people. LEAVE THEM ALONE!
YOU NEED HELP WITH YOUR ANGER MANAGEMENT & HATE!

Making excuses is not limited to overweight people. A lot of people in today's society blame their problems on someone else and usually sue (or try to) Is it REALLY the tobacco industry's fault that someone chooses to smoke a product that has been legal for decades? Do tobacco companies hunt them down and force lit cigarettes into their mouths? No, but you're not complaining about the smokers that b*tch, moan, complain and sue.
It's just a part of our "don't blame me" society.

Your name says it all. Been "puffin" a bit too much? Lots of people blame and complain....it's part of being human. You just wanted to get people upset so you tried to insult a group of people that are accustomed to being insulted. It seems you are rather obsessed with "fat" people. You had a question about them and scooters...and you didn't get to have a scooter. I checked your history. You asked..and I quote you...bad grammar and all, "Why do reward really fat people with scooters. I've managed to stay really thin. I think i deserve a scooter." Poor dear.....you need a scooter, huh? Well, fat people CAN lose weight. Unfortunately, you will ALWAYS be YOU.

Most overweight people are aware that their situation is their own fault. They just feel powerless to do anything about it. Their "complaining" as you put it, is often a manifestation of their feeling of powerlessness, shame and depression about their situation. And yes, overweight people do need to recognize that they can and need to take positive actions such as improving their diet and getting some exercise to better their situation. However, heaping abuse on the overweight, like the vitriol that you have spewed above, is not likely to be helpful. The overweight need our compassion and positive encouragement.
And for the record, I am not overweight: I haven't eaten fast food for over 6 years, I eat healthy, well-balanced meals, eschew processed foods, keep a food journal and count my calories, and I exercise at least 1-2 hours a day, 6 to 7 days a week.

I'm fat, and I blame only myself... I've lost weight before, so I know I can do it. My problem is lack of willpower to get the job done. There... happy?

I've yet to find a fat person who complains or makes excuses or blames others.....in fact, they are one of the few groups that knows how to make a joke about themselves and be humble.
And no sweetie, I'm not fat and do martial arts 3x a week. just because someone thinks you're ignorant, doesnt mean they're fat. Means you're ignorant.
