These statues are a source of inspiration. It is a necessary part of religion because of the strong influence of our physical nature that we need to influence our spiritual nature. There is an inter-relationship between mind, body, and soul that has to be acted out by cerimonial acts and traditional beliefs. Remember the verse: faith without works is dead? Having an artist create inspirationaly works of art is a good thing.
Anyone who thinks this is a form of idol worship is flat out wrong. God told Moses to make the bronze serpent to look at and the "winged creatures" on the arc of the covenant. So, such accusations about idolatry is false.

HITAN ( Democracy in Heaven )
** My thoughts are that all statues if used to worship should be distoried, but everyone has the right to worship as he/ she wants
number of places the Hebrew Bible makes clear that God has no shape or form, and is utterly incomparable; thus no idol, image, idea, or anything comparable to creation could ever capture God's essence.
1 Corinthians 10:7 Do not worship idols
REV. 20; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk.

Sure, let's get rid of all references to God in this country. Then we can see what His fierce wrath really is like.
God is already judging us for kicking him out of our schoools and public buildings. Let's provoke Him more, just let me know before you do this, so I can be raptured away before it happens.
I personally think organizations like the ACLU, KKK, Nazis and all religious cults should be abolished. Then we could put statues and pictures of Christ everywhere and receive His blessings, instead of His wrath. God Bless You.....Peace.

The Tali bani Muslims in Afghanistan thought that images of the Buddha needed to be abolished, so they destroyed them. What a loss! Do you want to be in the same league as them?

ABOLISH THEM! YOU PERSONALLY should do that job!
WORLD WIDE!
Obviously it is impossible to make statues of Jesus etc. simply because no one knows exactly what HE looked like while on earth in HIS earthly body.
Since ALL True Christians are SAINTS, it would be possible to make photos or statues of us. Obviously there is no point in this simply because we are not to be worshiped or adored.
NOW GO DO IT
Follow through on your idea! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would be better not to make them, but once they are made, it is careful not to worship them as I have seen them do in Episcipol churches.

Christ has abolished the ten commandments, so, as long as you love your brethren as thyself, it´s ok to make images.
