This will sound wierd, but chilled used tea bags work great. I also have friends that use cuccumber slices.

Rinsing your eyes with cold water always helps to reduce swelling. Try breathing deeply and relaxing. Lavender also helps because its aromatic properties soothe the mind. Remember, people cry to make themselves feel better (did you know people cry because it makes them feel better? it sounds weird but it does. If you need to get rid of the redness quickly, I would advise using cover-up or foundation. Even having a Hershey kiss in your pocket will help greatly if there is another break-down. take a tea bag & squeeze excess water from it then lay on closed eyes for a few minutes. Really works

Try a gel filled cool pack. They are great. Just keep it in the fridge until you need it. Use it and then stick it back in the fridge when your done.

I take put ice cold water on my face and then a wash rag on top and lay with my eyes closed.
it helps a little.

buy visine
you can buy it at walmart, target, etc..
when i cry and i put it in my eye, it goes away in like 5 minutes.. works really well and doesnt sting(:
